Event Recap: RecycleMore Particpates in Earth Day 2025 Activities in West Contra Costa County

RecycleMore participates in West Contra Costa County 29025 Earth Day events.

RecycleMore participated in several Earth Day events this year to celebrate and support the planet. On Saturday, April 19, 2025, team members Reka Abraham, Lisa Borreani, Webster Nguyen, and Rachel Dice joined North Richmond’s Earth Day Celebration, starting with a volunteer cleanup at Wildcat Creek near Lucky A’s Park and continuing with a community gathering at Shields-Reid Community Center & Park. RecycleMore also took part in Pinole’s Earth Walk, where residents walked from Pinole Creek Trail to Fernandez Park, pledging to protect the environment along the way. The event featured local environmental groups offering resources and fun activities for all attendees.

Both West Contra Costa County events provided valuable resources and showcased inspiring, community-driven initiatives. Volunteers and residents came together to clean up the local environment and celebrate Earth Day in a safe, informative, and joyful atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed educational booths, local baseball games, and lively entertainment – including food, music, children’s bounce houses, and even a charming petting zoo.

RecycleMore hosted booths at both events, where they handed out complimentary food scrap pails, eco-friendly bags, reusable water bottles, and local waste reduction resources. The team also officially announced the return of its popular backyard vermicomposter starter kit giveaway, which includes one pound of red wiggler worms – a sustainable initiative RecycleMore has proudly supported since 2023.

The celebrations did not end there! On Monday, April 21, RecycleMore took part in Contra Costa College’s Earth Day event, where students and faculty received the same eco-friendly giveaways and resources shared at earlier community events.
