Everyone has become accustomed to the “throw-it-away” lifestyle. If an item is broken or does not seem to work anymore, we are quick to throw it out and buy a new one. However, many items can easily be fixed instead of buying new. Why not learn to repair? Residents might even find opportunity to fix and regift this holiday season. 

Bring your broken and non-functioning things — electronic gadgets, appliances, computers, toys, sewing machines, bicycles, fabric items, etc. — for assessment, disassembly, and possibly repair. FixIt Coaches will be available for consultation on broken items; workspace, specialty tools, and guidance will be provided to help you troubleshoot your item. Offer your expertise as well and join in on the fun!

All ages are welcome. This event is open to the whole family. Activities will be available for the young kids. And, some refreshments will be available to the participants.
