The annual El Sobrante Stroll was held in downtown El Sobrante on the Dam Road (between El Portal Drive and Appian Way) on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 11am-4pm. The day kicked off with a parade at 11am with local organizations, library, schools, and vintage cars, including council members, such as Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia. After the parade, many people were out and about strolling, talking with residents and friends, eating, and visiting the vendor booths.
RecycleMore was one of the more popular vendor booths and distributed over 200 Kitchen Food Scrap Pails and RecycleMore swag, including educating West Contra Costa County residents on the available resources and programs.
This was a great opportunity for RecycleMore to engage with the public and talk about how to dispose of solid waste and to keep items out of the landfill, ideally recycling, reusing, or repairing an item.
Residents in the RecycleMore jurisdiction may obtain a free kitchen food scrap pail to sort your food scraps and organics items in the kitchen select this link on where to get a food scrap pail and learn more on the RecycleMore website page.
See you next year!
